You can filter the message board posts that are displayed. You can choose to block specific threads, threads with specific words in their titles, or specific authors.

Ignore a specific author from their message board post

Ignoring a specific author will filter message board posts from that author on all AOL message boards.

To ignore a specific author from their message board post:

1. Navigate to a message from the author you want to ignore.
2. Click the Ignore [author's screen name] link.
3. Click the OK button.

Add a Filter

The filter will block message board posts that meet the criteria you choose.

To add a filter:

1. Navigate to a message board.
2. Click the Settings button.
3. Click the Filter tab.
4. Click the Ignore Message when drop-down menu to open it, choose the type of item you want to ignore from the list, then click it.
5. In the small text box, type the text you want to ignore.
6. Click the Add button.
7. Click the Save button.
   

Remove a Filter

You can remove any filters you have added to change which message board posts are filtered.

To remove a filter:

1. Navigate to a message board.
   
2. Click the Settings button.
3. Click the Filter tab.
4. In the Filters box, click the filter you want to remove to highlight it.
5. Click the Remove button.
6. Click the Save button.
