Insert a picture into your email

When you insert a picture into your e-mail, the image will appear with the text of your e-mail. The inserted picture will be a thumbnail of the picture that will also be a link that the receiver can click on to view the full size picture on the Pictures website. When your email is sent, the picture will automatically upload the to your Pictures Shoebox album.

Notes:

Once you have inserted a picture, you can edit the size and location of the picture by placing your mouse over the picture, then clicking the Edit picture size, alignment, and position button.

You can remove an inserted picture by placing your mouse over the picture you want to edit, then click the Remove picture from the message button


To insert a picture into your e-mail from your Picture albums:

  1. In the AOL Write Mail window, click the Insert Pictures button.

    Note: The Pictures to Send section will cover the address portion of the AOL Write Email window. To access the address portion again, click the Hide Pictures button.

  2. In the AOL Pictures Albums section, click the album with the picture you want to insert, then insert the picture:
    • Drag and drop the picture from the album to the large text box.
    • Click each picture you want to insert, then click the Insert # button (# will equal the number of pictures you have selected).


To insert a picture into your e-mail from your computer:

  1. In the AOL Write Mail window, click the Insert Pictures button.

    Note: The Pictures to Send section will cover the address portion of the AOL Write Mail window. To access the address portion again, click the Hide Pictures button.

  2. Click the Pictures on My Computer tab.
  3. Click the Browse for Photos button.
  4. Navigate to the folder with the picture you want to insert.
  5. Double click the picture file you want to insert.
