AOL Help: Schedule an Event by Typing Directly on the Calendar

You can schedule an event by typing directly on the calendar no matter if it is in Month, Week, or Day view.

To schedule an event by typing directly on the calendar when using Month view:

  1. Click the date you wish to schedule an event.
  2. Type the name of the event.
  3. If you wish to edit the event (e.g. name, time, or type), click the event.
  4. On the AOL Edit Event window, click the Edit tab. Change the details of the event.
  5. To make the event repeat, click the Repeating tab, set the Repeats: frequency and Ending dates.
  6. Click the Save button.


To Schedule an event by typing directly on the calendar when using Week or Day view:

  1. Point to the time and date you wish the event to start, click and hold the left mouse button to stretch the event across the appropriate time slots. Release the mouse button when the highlighted area covers the desired time slots for the event.
  2. Type name of the event.
  3. To add additional details regarding the event, click the event.
  4. On the AOL Edit Event window, click the Edit tab, change the details of the event.
  5. To make the event repeat, click the Repeating tab, set the Repeats: frequency and Ending dates.
  6. Click the Save button.
