AOL Help: Unsend Emails for AOL Email on the Web

You can unsend an email if the email was sent only to AOL members and if none of the recipients have opened the email. AOL members all have email addresses ending in @aol.com.

Determine If an Email can be Unsent

You can only check the status of email sent to other AOL members.

To determine if an email can be unsent:
1. In the AOL Email window, click the Sent Email link.
2. Next to the email you want to check, click the box to place a check mark in it.
3. Above the list of emails, click the Status button. The status of the email will be displayed in the Message Status window.
4. Click the X in the top right to close the Message Status window.

Note: If the email has not been opened, Unread will be listed next to the Screen Name. If you see a date and time next to the Screen Name, the email has been read and you cannot unsend the email. An email address and the word Internet indicates that the email was sent to an Internet address and cannot be unsent.
