AOL Help: Move Messages

Move One or More Messages

You can move one or more messages to new or existing folders using AOL Email on the Web.

To move one message to another folder:
1. Open the folder that holds the messages you would like to move.
2. To do this, click the name of the folder on the Folder List window on the left side of your mailbox window.
3. Click and drag the message from the current folder to the folder you want the message in. This feature requires using one of the supported browsers.

Alternative method to move one or more messages:
1. Click the checkbox next to each message you would like to move.
2. Click the Move drop-down menu in the upper right of the message window.
3. Select the folder you would like to move the messages to. If you select New Folder, a dialog box opens, and you must enter a name for the new folder.
4. The messages you checked are no longer displayed in your current Mailbox window. They have been moved to the folder you selected or to a new folder that you created.

Note: Your folder list shows the number of unread messages for each folder. So no matter where you move messages after receiving them, you can see the quantity of the unread messages.
