AOL Help: About the Rich Text/HTML Editor

There are many options for customising how your text appears in your AOL Email on the Web email. These options allow you to show your creativity and individuality online. Formatting text is done by using the text styling toolbar, located just above the box where you type your email message in the AOL Write Email window. It contains a number of formatting features, for example text colour, centring, or bolding.

Note: The Rich Text/HTML Editing feature requires using the Microsoft Internet Explorer or AOL Explorer browser.

Select the Rich Text/HTML Editor

When you select the Rich Text/HTML editor, your AOL Write Email window will include a formatting toolbar above the large text box where you type your email message.

To select the Rich Text/HTML editor:
1. On the AOL Email window, click the Settings button.
2. Click the Authoring link.
3. Click the Use Rich Text/HTML Editing box to place a check mark in it.
4. Click the Save button.
5. Click the OK button.
