AOL Help: Your Email Folders

For AOL Email on the Web, your folders are displayed in the Folder List box on the left side of your AOL Email window. The list includes five system folders and any personal folders you create.

Personal Folders

Personal folders are a handy way to organise your emails. You can create folders to store emails by subject, sender, or any other criteria that suits your needs. You can also rename and delete your personal folders.

System Folders

The six system folders cannot be renamed or deleted. Each system folder has a specific purpose in the AOL Email on the Web system.

•  Optionally, you can change your display settings to show a unified Inbox folder, instead of the New Email and Old Email folders.
