AOL Help: To add Holidays to Your Calendar on AOL Email on the Web

The calendar on AOL Email on the Web, can automatically add many holidays to your calendar, however if you don't find the holiday that you or your family celebrates, you can easily add the holiday to your calendar. The following will guide you through the steps to view and add a holiday to your calendar.

You may wish to print or save a copy of these instructions as this page may not remain visible as you go through the suggested steps.

To View U.K. Holidays in Your Calendar on AOL Email on the Web

The U.K. recognised holidays are available on your calendar automatically. For your convenience, we have provided a listing of the U.K. recognised holidays:

  • New Year's Day, January 1st
  • Good Friday, April, 14th
  • Easter Monday, April, 17th
  • Early May Bank Holiday, May 1st
  • Spring Bank Holiday, May 29th
  • Summer Bank Holiday, August 28th
  • Christmas Day, December 25th
  • Boxing Day, December 26th

To view U.K. holidays in your calendar:

  1. On the AOL Email on the Web window, in the upper right, click the Calendar button.
  2. Under My Calendars, click the box next to U.K. Holidays to place a check mark in it.


To Add a Holiday to Your Calendar on AOL Email on the Web

To add a holiday to your calendar:

  1. On the AOL Email on the Web window, in the upper right, click the Calendar button.
  2. Click the Add Event button.
  3. Next to Event:, type the name of the event.
  4. Next to Date: select the date of the event.
  5. Click the All day event box to place a check mark in it.
  6. If you wish to receive a reminder, click the Remind Me box to place a check mark in it, then select the time in advance you wish to receive the reminder.
  7. Next to Type: click the down arrow, then click Holiday.
  8. So you won't have to re-enter this holiday every year, click the Repeating tab.
  9. Click the appropriate repeating options for the holiday, then click the Save button.
