AOL Running Man Status

The AOL running man will be displayed next to an address if the person is an AOL member or an AOL Instant Messenger user and you've set the Preferred Email setting under the contact's Name tab to a Screen Name or a Netscape/AOL email address. An AOL running man will not be displayed with non-AOL addresses.

If the AOL running man icon is visible next to an address, it can show you that person's Instant Messenger online status:

<%=[art.getTag membered running_man_yellow_black]%>If that person is logged into Instant Messenger, the icon will look normal and clicking the icon will open a window, where you can either start an IM session or email the person.

<%=[art.getTag membered running_man_grey]%>If they are not signed on, the icon will be grayed-out and you will not be able to start an IM session with them.

Note: The AOL running man status is determined when the window is first opened or refreshed. To see the latest status, reopen the window or refresh it (press the F5 key on the keyboard if using Microsoft Internet Explorer). Depending on your Internet connection speed, the correct AOL running man status may take a few seconds to be displayed.
